BDS Byrne Waste Tracking
Getting started
Free permit check

Before you start

Got a waste consultant? Ask them first.

If a consultant or technically competent manager (TCM) looks after your permit, ask them about Byrne Waste Tracking. They can introduce you, your site is set up for you, and it appears on their screen next to every other site they cover.

You have a consultant

Ask them about Byrne

  • Your consultant sends me your company, site address and permit number.
  • I load your permit, site address, carriers and usual waste codes before you log in.
  • Your site appears in your consultant's Clients tab, so they can see if anything is overdue.

Your consultant gives you your price

Not sure who to ask? It is whoever handles your permit: your TCM or your compliance adviser.

No consultant

Start free yourself

  • Create an account and type your permit number. The app fills in your company from the public register.
  • Add your site and log your first load. Nothing to install: it runs in the browser.
  • Link your Defra account and each load goes to Defra automatically.

No setup fee. From £89 a month per site

Start free Try it first

Either way

14 days free first, and there's no card to enter until you start it. You see your price before you pay anything. A site in Scotland or Northern Ireland that joins before 1 January 2027 pays nothing until 1 January 2027. Scotland starts that day and DAERA say January 2027 for Northern Ireland.

No contract, and every login at your site is included. Defra's own £26 a year per organisation is separate and paid to Defra.

Questions? Email wilf@byrnedigitalsolutions.co.uk. Email is the quickest way to reach me - I reply the same working day. Most answers are already in straight answers and the guides.
